Our Program
SERVICE WITH DIGNITY
Everybody wants to engage fully in life, relationships, and passions. For many, that dream has been blocked by hearing loss. Moreover, some low-income families in our community are unable to obtain high-quality hearing healthcare due to lack of social programs. A&E Hearing Connection is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to meet this need.
We operate on a reduced fee, sliding scale basis to make our services affordable. We rely on the support of our community through grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, and volunteers to make our programs sustainable. In return, our Circle of Giving model gives our patients the opportunity to give back to the community through service at a charitable organization of their choice.
WHY THIS MODEL?
Our community, through financial contributions and volunteer service, supports A&E Hearing Connection. The clinic, in turn, provides patients here in Lancaster and around the world, gold standard audiological care (not a hand-out). To complete the circle of giving, patients then “pay-it-forward” by volunteering at organizations that are dedicated to helping the community.
Our goal is to provide our patients the opportunity to generate thousands of community service hours within Lancaster County.
For every hearing aid our patients receive through A&E Hearing Connection, they return a designated amount of volunteer hours to their community. This is our way of saying “Thank you” to those who make it possible for our patients to receive the Gift of Hearing.
