Mexico Campaign
Help Us Raise a Hearing Clinic
Over the last four years, Hearing the Call has been partnering with Integra A.C. to bring our mobile hearing clinic to some of the least reached places in Mexico. In 2024, our partner took us on a vision walk through a building that will soon be the home of the first hearing clinic in that area. With your support, we will be focusing on raising funding for this very important project.
Coatzacoalcos is home to over 400,000 men, women and children all of whom need access to hearing healthcare. During the last two years, we have fit over 500 hearing aids in this community. Your support is needed to help us provide sustainable care for this growing population of supported hearing individuals.

When Mia was a year old, her parents discovered she had severe hearing loss. Determined to connect with her daughter, her mother learned sign language, and by the time Mia was three, they could communicate through signing, bringing immense relief to her mother. Now seven, Mia thrives in a regular school, has no trouble making friends, and recently entered the clinic excited for her first hearing aids. Audiologists Vanessa Lee and Ken Stewart worked patiently with Mia, guiding her through the hearing test, and she lit up with joy when she heard the tone for the first time.
While waiting for her ear molds, Mia noticed a girl named Ingrid who looked nervous about needing hearing aids. Mia comforted her, signing and playing tic-tac-toe until it was time for their fittings. When Ingrid’s hearing aids were activated, her face lit up with joy, and Mia’s excitement grew. Finally, it was Mia’s turn—she beamed as her mother spoke her name, marveling at the sound of her own voice. The ride home was filled with new sounds for Mia, from the wind outside to her parents’ voices, opening up a world of wonder.
