Empower Local Care. Transform Lives. Build a Legacy.

Malawi, one of the world’s poorest nations, has long faced a dire shortage of hearing healthcare services. For millions, access to even basic audiology services has been nonexistent- leading to social isolation, barriers to education, and lost economic opportunities for those living with untreated hearing loss.

But today, there’s a new path forward.

In 2021, a major milestone was achieved: Malawi celebrated its first-ever cohort of trained audiologists, thanks to the Bachelor of Science in Audiology program at ABC Hearing Clinic & Training Centre. These professionals represent a breakthrough in local, sustainable hearing care. But training is just the beginning.

The Next Step: Build the Ecosystem for Care

While these audiology graduates are ready to serve, job opportunities and clinical infrastructure remain scarce. Without clinics to work in, their skills risk going unused—and the communities they were trained to help remain underserved.

Why It Matters Now

We’re changing that.

With your support, we are launching a capital campaign to open a locally owned, private audiology clinic in the Southern Region of Malawi, led by one of these trailblazing graduates.

Meet Yamikani Dumbo

She is determined, kind, strong—and the best person to lead the charge. As a graduate of the ABC Hearing Clinic & Training Centre, Yamikani has the skills, the heart, and the vision to bring hearing healthcare to her community.

Why She Matters

With your help, she can open the doors to a clinic that will serve thousands of patients.

This clinic will create jobs, expand access to care, and stand as a model for sustainable, community-based hearing healthcare in Malawi.
