Our Story

The Hearing HOPE project was started out of a great desire for ALL to have access to the hearing care they need. Founders Vanessa and Dan Lee have always had a heart to serve and have been doing so in their communities and beyond for the past 30 years. There are many who do not have access to appropriate hearing care due to lack of resources. This project is meant to be the bridge that connects the 2. Whether it is here in Ohio, or Haiti, or across the world in Africa all have the right to be connected to the world around them. All have the right to hear.

Our Mission

To provide hearing healthcare to individuals who could not otherwise afford it.  We will execute this for those in and around west central Ohio as well as those in developing countries around the world. We will also create opportunities for recipients to give back to their own communities creating a circle of giving.

Our Vision

To ensure that no one is denied access to appropriate hearing care! We will accomplish this by creating affordable hearing healthcare, and a “circle of giving” whereby the recipients of our services give back to their own communities.  They will do this through service and along the way, gain a greater purpose and sense of value.

Our Promise

To maintain the integrity of all individuals we serve and help them reconnect to the world around them through better hearing and an opportunity to give back.

The Need

1 in 5 Americans suffers from hearing loss to an extent that interferes with communication. We believe no one should miss out on participating fully in life because of hearing loss. Untreated hearing loss has a devastating impact on individuals, families, and communities. Sadly, even Medicare does not cover any of the costs of treating hearing loss, nor do many health insurance plans.

Hearing the Call is a nonprofit campaign bringing hope and healing to the hearing-impaired. Through quality healthcare, we help people connect with family, education, and opportunities.
